August 2007 saw Grinny Grandad win studio time in London after winning a competition judged by Finger Lickin' Reocrd (Plump DJ's, Krafty Kuts) - They had this to say:

"This track was the clear winner. It had what I look for in a track - vibe, energy and originality. Monty by Grinny Grandad has something that you just can’t resist and on a second listen makes you feel that the track is already a classic. I love the female vocals, sassy youthful and quirky, the confident beats, great arrangement and nice touches with the gun shot percussion. I also think that a mix down with Snorkel studios will take this project to an exciting level so all in all great name and very worthy winners."
