The Band
About us
Im George, a 24 year old singer songwriter from Stockport south Manchester. I record and mix my tunes in my home studio. My influences are jimmy hendrix and BB king on the guitar, but my band influences are Snow Patrol, Feeder, Doves, and Oasis. I've played all round Manchester and Cheshire, winning a battle of the bands with the band i was in for 6 years, and having a CD in HMV manchester with the band and solo. I would decribe my music as being quite varied, i like to experiment with orchestral sounds like in Watch the sky away and Each and all every way, some songs are quite rocky and about going out and getting twisted! (mainly the band songs). But others are more softer songs and ballads. I've got fans in Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Liverpool and even as far as Italy and down town Los Angeles. My music was played in a rock club by a DJ over in LA and it went down really well i hear, I even received T-shirts in thanks. Ive been in the local paper a few times, and interviewed on the radio where i played live on air acoustically. I'm really looking to push my music forward now, i've had a lot of really posative feedback in the past and now its time to do something about it and get it out there to see what the people of the UK think about it all. I hope you enjoy it!!!
