Abandoned under a full moon and raised by wolves; not much else is known about Genies early years. Half-French, Genie now resides in the North of England, where he continues to question the human equation. A solo artist; Genie writes and performs all of his own music, but has worked with many different artists over his career. Never one for convention, he has lectured on metaphysics, successfully performed exorcisms, worked with circus sideshows and composed several pieces of music for a surrealist theatre.

His recordings include the album Beautiful Things; with tracks Mark of Cain, The Outsiders, Under Here and Atheist, available to buy from indiestore (http://indiestore.7digital.com/genieverre/). The four tracks are starting to create a buzz on Last.fm (http://www.last.fm/music/Genie+Verre), with a growing number of regular listeners. Genie is currently writing new material; recording new songs such as Blood Wedding, his tribute to Federico Garcia Lorca's play of the same title and two as yet undisclosed songs that are also based on Lorca's work.

He is intending to play live in the coming months. When not composing, Genie walks his pack of dogs through the woods outside his home.
