About us


"The sound of a punch-up between The Streets and The Clash, being broken up by Billy Bragg" - XFM London

We are Deferred Sucess, a 4-piece from essex who play original material which is a mixture of Acoustic Folk, Punk and Ska. Basically, we love all sorts of music and that is reflected in our set, we love the variety.

We have played around 60 shows this year which included headlining the UK's biggest free festival, and a special acoustic appearance at Latitude Festival.

We have played with numerous high-profile bands including top-ten charting band Scouting For Girls, Mercury award winning band The Klaxons, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Frank Turner/Million Dead, Bad Manners, Engerica, Les Carter of Carter USM fame) and many other great acts. Playing these high-profile gigs has also given us airplay on XFM London and BBC Radio Essex.

We are now taking bookings for 2008 in a big way and are aiming to play the
5 festivals we attended in 2007 plus a whole load more. We'll travel anywhere as long as expenses are covered. We'll be touring to support the release of our new album "What Happened?".
