About us
Chris Wilson – ex-front man with San Francisco’s legendary Flamin’ Groovies – is back with a new album, Second Life. The independently produced and distributed CD, which is due any day soon, follows on from Chris’s past work with the Groovies and The Barracudas, another cult classic band for which he sang and played guitar.
The Groovies are best remembered for the classic 60s-tinged pop anthem Shake Some Action – a theme that reappears on Second Life’s opening track, All the Action. The new album, which was produced by Dick Coppen [ex-Tenpole Tudor and King Kurt], also combines chiming 12-string guitars with some classic garage band grit along with the occasional quieter moment, too.
