About us
Captain Dangerous are an explosive indie four-piece from Nottingham with outrageously catchy melodies and based around the classic English story telling with a frothy melange of quirk-pop influences...
Listen and you'll hear, Pavement, the Cure and The Violent Femmes. Also plenty of Strokesy grindings and a pop harmonic approach recalling early Teenage Fanclub and The Wedding Present via Jarvis for loucheness & fantastic songs too.
They formed 2 years agao and in that time they've had a number of successes including winning the right to play at the Market Square re-opening celebrations and appearing on BBC 6 Music.
The band says "our manager William Kofi is talking to interested labels about getting them signed " meantime...
"We just want to make sure we're being productive. There's no reason why we can't do an album ourselves. It's good fun." Says Miles.
Captain Dangerous have been touring the country for the last year and half supporting the likes of:
The Holloways
Dirty Pretty Things
The Hoosiers
Roll Deep
The Rumble Strips
The Pigeon Detectives
Dogs
10,000 Things
Bentley Rhythm Ace
Polysics
The Research
Mumm-Ra
The Blood Arm
The Magic Numbers
