About us

"Echos of classic angry post-punkers like Mo-dettes and Slits abound in Baby Gravy's barbed instrumentation and caustic vocal, the 'in your face' ranting of riot teen queen Iona Roisin out front. The bass rumbles along in punky but dance-able grooves underpinned by primal drum pounding. As if that's not enough the addition of occasional nervous synth-lines take it even further out. One year in and with numerous shows and an EP 'Well done Mary-Ellen, You're A Dance Teacher Now' under their belt, Baby Gravy are at the forefront of girl powered angry artrock alongside the likes of Shrag, Help She Can't Swim, 586, Das Wanderlust and Fight Like Apes." - Artrocker

"Baby Gravy play fidget-pop for agitated ears while their singer, Iona, is demure and aggressive by turn, twitching across the stage to flurries of synths and post-punk beats." - Venue

"Baby Gravy are sinister but body-swaying, playing head-catching tunes with won¹t back down singer Iona pushing the songs in your face with sassy menace while the beats are neatly caught by goalie drummer Zarah and expertly pinned to the floor." - Artrocker

"snotty KRS style punk. kathleen hannah meets motorhead at a sale for pissed on leather trousers. violence ensues...-sam shepherd"
