About us
Ok a bit about us: audiodeluxe are Dez Bone & Sammy McHugh a couple of part time musical geniuses form a small (but it would seem ever expanding) village called Moodiesburn near Glasgow. We started writing songs together some time in the 90s and no one has forced us to stop yet. We have many influences from Depeche Mode, Radiohead and Rage against the machine to Monty Python and crazy hippie parents and in-laws, insane friends, and Sammy’s dubious love for 70s/80s soft rock (this last influence is not in anyway condoned or encouraged by the rest of the band).
Here’s what some other folk had to say about our music:
Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1) audiodeluxe - 'Too Late'
"These Joy Division dark style electronics with a beautiful wavering voice just brightened up my morning in a flash - give it a whirl!”
The Daily Record: audiodeluxe make music based around the powdery, fragile vocals of Sammy McHugh. Interesting samples (a train rushing up a track is used as a lullaby on ‘Treasure’) add depth to the production. ‘The day I died’ has more to offer:– spectral vocals, evocative lyrical images and a multi-tracked computer generated sound creates a world of its own. ‘Too late’ , cloaked in sweeping sounds, an even more seductive creation.
Barcode* magazine: I must confess to enjoying the title track of this CD considerably. ‘Too Late’ is a very tightly produced track, with a tasteful blend of synths, guitar and grungy vocals. It also contains a decent melodic content, promising much for the future. This 4-track EP is a bright introduction to this three-piece and all 4-tracks have something decent to offer. I predict good things for audiodeluxe in the future
Eatthismusic.com: (Too late) Great number starts with guitars and vocals which remind me a wee bit of blonde?...Then with Sammy's vocals coming in on top brings an amazing originality that have touches of the early 80s, but with this band the 21st century simplicity has crowned this number! - love it!
Ps: please feel free to drop us an email through our web site www.audiodeluxe.fsnet.co.uk and let us know what you think of our music.
Cheers!
Dez
