About us


Atala, based in north London, was formed in late 2005 and in January 2006 began gigging, playing their original alternative rock set. Consisting of Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Bass and Vocals, and with a range of musical influences and backgrounds, Atala’s members all add their quirks and ideas to each of their tunes and therefore accomplish a different experience for the listener with a sound hard to describe. They have extensive live performance experience between them in a variety of venues ranging from concert halls, bars, pubs, student unions and outside festivals.
Their intention was not to play a particular genre of music, but to make fresh music with a solid foundation. The band has never been afraid to mix different styles and try unconventional ideas while creating. Atala’s music has been described as Trip-hop, Rock, Drum and Bass, Soul, and the list continues as each new song takes on it’s own identity.
Atala have made their rehearsal room home and enjoy live performances as well as recording and mixing. It is in their live performances where you will see them shine, with a voice of raw energy and rhythms and effects that grab attention, the power in the music can not be ignored by the audience.
Atala’s demo was recorded in March 2006 and all artwork and album design was produced by their Designer Mark Sutcliffe.
Currently Atala have an ever growing original set list and are taking bookings for live gigs in the London area.
