About us

A night with Alexis Blue "...Would Be Great Evening. Like Sex On Sofa From IKEA, At Least" - Not our words, nor Borat's

"A British power-pop group that has a sense of humor and a sense of rhythm." - 'The Duke'

"Oh Alexis Blue they're fantastic - great band!.. Top guys. Their music has a Half Man Half Biscuit sound to it" - Jon Windle (Little Man Tate)

"The music is good, the band is friendly and chatty and most of all they are actually a good band from the Wirral. Watch out people of Merseyside and beyond, this is truly a band that is going places and you won't know what has hit you! Go out, see them live and tell your friends about Alexis Blue NOW!" - Richard Orr, LOUD Magazine

"Alexis Blue is a four-piece from Wallasey, in the north of England, that is offering great pieces of indie-pop gem. Truly inspired by their folks of the Merseyside (The Zutons, The Coral and co.) on some tracks especially Swings and Roundabouts or You Won't Get Much Sleep with the folk, country indie-pop melody that you will be hooked to. From songs to songs, listening to Alexis Blue is a breath of fresh air coming from across the Mersey. It's definitely a band to check out in the near future" - Melanie Lapierre, This Is Fake DIY and CISM 893 Radio, Canada

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alexis Blue formed in September 2005 from the ashes of 'The Rails', on the calmer side of the Mersey. Constant gigs locally and nationally have increased not only their fan base, but also their hunger and desire to go further - their new, fresh and catchy Indie-Pop sound catching many an interested ear country & wordwide. After numerous ups and downs, record deals, lineup changes and temporary splits - the music still remains, and surely thats all that matters! Support slots alongside several established bands such as Milburn, Little Man Tate (twice), Bromheads Jacket, Reverend & The Makers, 80s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, Metro Riots and Cazals - have raised their profile even more. Newly reformed for 2007 with their new bassist on board, Alexis Blue are looking to have a laugh, and make as many people happy as they can.
