About us
Punk/New-wave from Leatherhead, Surrey
"Punk rock attitude and sound, their electric performance was mesmerizing.” THE SURFACE UNSIGNED FESTIVAL
We are a Surrey based band, we formed in 2005 when the five band members met at college at the Howard of Effingham.
“Their electric performance was mesmerizing and perfectly executed, making every song a pleasure to the ears and the eyes.”THE SURFACE UNSIGNED FESTIVAL
In 2007, we hit the scene running when we won a demo competition on BBCSouthern Counties Radio, with their explosive and quirky cut The Lesson. Winning rave reviews from the panel, including Oliver Wayman from Island Records and Seven Webster from A7 Music, The Lesson was credited as a “strong track with original sound” (Oliver Wayman).
2008 has seen momentum build with gigs in London and Brighton, most notably at Concorde2 and The Purple Turtle. With the biggest and best gig yet to come at Monto Waterats we are on the up!
We narrowly lost out for a National Finals showcase set at the Surface Unsigned Festival but show no signs of letting this affect our determination.
“The most popular act of the evening, it was perfectly executed, making every song a pleasure to the ears and the eyes…The crowd was instantly seduced by the 5 boys, who have everything to go very far.” THE SURFACE UNSIGNED FESTIVAL
With a 'Suburban Angst' feel to their music, we mix Indie with a unique, British punk edge. Influenced by old national treasures such as The Clash, The Jam and The Stranglers. As well as a number of recent bands.
The 45 Revs are about quirky riffs, infectious melodies and raw vocals. So if you like what you hear, and your near, COME ALONG to one of our gigs!
