20 While 40 is Andy Forrest, Simon Morris, Stu Capewell & Peter Walker. All hailing from Widnes, the band formed in 2006 from the bands "The Staff" & "The Utopians".

Andy Forrest himself garnered some kudos by becoming no 1 on the Channel 4 unsigned list for a short while.

Building on these past successes, the band have built a strong fan base after playing a number of gigs around the North West at venues such as The Barfly, The Flying Picket and The Zanzibar, as well as some intimate local venues in their home town of Widnes. The most recent of these was a Christmas gig at a local home town venue.

Drawing on an eclectic number of influences, the band are developing a unique style and sound that builds on their indie rock foundations with soaring choruses and anthem like tunes.

With the combination of styles from the previous bands, the song writing fires have been ignited, as they are now writing new material and are currently recording, an as yet untitled album, they hope to release by the end of 2008.

One song, White Hits Blue, has already been well received to critical acclaim and the band hope to build on this keen interest with gig dates to tie in with the launch of the album.
