Biography

Four men with classic songs you've got to hear.

The band name derives from Orwell’s classic novel delivering their message to forever rebel and to be who YOU are, NOT who THEY want you to be.

1984 is 2008

influences: The Clash, The Beatles, Squeeze, The Jam, Oasis, The Who, Sex Pistols, BRMC, T-Rex all the way to Led Zeppelin.

1984 formed early 2006 when front man /song writer Steve Holbrook turned to Rob Power for song collaboration along with Ben Tweedy on Drums and Gareth Sutherland on guitar.

Its only a matter of time.
